Green Skin Range

Coconut Oil Shop Green Skin Range | When coconut oil is not enough

Skin uses oil to protect us from infections. That is why some people rub their skin with Virgin Coconut Oil. But sometimes the skin hasn’t repaired itself and you feel that it may be nourished to better health faster by the assistance of some oils known for assisting the skin to repair itself. That is why we thought about creating Green Relief for Skin and Green Gear Balm.

  1. Hello, my son too has severe eczema and from reading about the Green Relief Salve and Gear Balm, I think this is worth trying. At the moment we are using Blue Coconut coconut oil on his skin as this was all I could find. I am liking the look of the Ancient Wisdom Raw Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – would this be suitable for his skin? Also, I am looking for an oil for his scalp, yet again eczema has taken over …. sigh … the steroid shampoo is making his hair fall out. I like the sound of the health benefits of coconut oil and would also like to convert when cooking – again Ancient Wisdom Extra Virgin? I am so frustrated and stressed because this has been going on for so long, so please help!!! Thanks SLC

    1. Hi SoLing,

Thanks for getting in touch. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. The shop reopened on Monday and we are still getting through the backlog of email/website enquiries.

Ancient Wisdom Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is a virgin raw oil, so it’s definitely better for your son’s skin. We recommend using Ancient Wisdom Oil all over him including the face at first to see if the skin improves. Some flaking is expected because the skin renews itself very rapidly with coconut oil.

For the scalp, we recommend rubbing in the Ancient Wisdom oil 1/2 to 1 hr before washing, and using our Milk Relief Soap™ as shampoo to wash out the oil. You can moisturise the scalp again with the oil or Green Gear Balm.

If Ancient Wisdom alone isn’t working well enough, for red and itchy areas, we recommend using Green Relief Salve and bandaging to stop him from scratching. After the inflammantion is under control, or for very dry areas, we recommend Green Gear Balm.

We also recommend taking virgin coconut oil orally for him. Using it for cooking is a great idea. You can also melt some in soup or hot meals. Please start with 1 teaspoon and work up to 3-4 tablespoons slowly, as too much at once can give you a diarrhoea.

      Hope it helps.

      Warm regards

The Team at the Coconut Oil Shop
